NEWS BRIEFS
the latest addition TO OUR growing network.
We have continued to grow our nationwide network as we
opened the Meru depot in May. The company has invested in
the setting up of the depot that is expected to serve dealers
from the Mt. Kenya and Upper Eastern regions.
The depot located in Meru town, Makutano area, displays
and stocks Crown Paints products such as decorative
paints, flooring solutions, specialised coatings and
adhesives; as well as other paints related services. It offers
detailed information on our entire line of paints, as well
as paint colour selection tools, professional services, and
educational programs.
Our commitment in offering the best of service was
reiterated by Rakesh, who said that the depot will also
feature latest innovations in paints and interior finishes
and will offer consumers tips on how to enhance building
aesthetics using quality products.
“Demand for our paints has been growing in both the
premium and economy paints categories; and as Meru
County continues to attract investors in the real estate
sector, our team at the Meru depot will be at hand to offer
quality and professional services to the painters, paint
dealers, contractors and other direct users.”
We have so far opened showrooms and depots in Nairobi,
Nakuru, Mombasa and Kisumu. This has been necessitated
by the increasing investment opportunities in the country
as county governments continue to take shape.
Customers from the Mt. Kenya and Upper Eastern regions
are welcome to visit the depot and interact with the staff
led by George Rapudo. The team from the depot will also be
working closely with the customers and painters to ensure
that Crown Paints’ products are applied as per proper
painting procedures.
We have unveiled our fifth high-end showroom in Nairobi’s
Karen area after opening another one in March last year in
Lavington.
The latest facility, located at Africa Reits house next to
Karen Hub, will showcase the latest brands in the market
ranging from decorative, automotive and protective paints,
as well as interior and exterior finishes, coatings and flooring
product. These finishes and textures include Elephant Skin,
Ruff n’ Tuff, Metallica, Armourcoat, Crown Variations and
Glass Plaster.
While unveiling the showroom Mr. Rao said the new outfit is
meant to tap into the robust construction sector in Nairobi’s
up market. He said with the coming up of new houses each
day the market is changing very fast with more people
embracing texture and stone finishes of houses.
“We want to work with professionals in the construction
industry who have been asking for higher quality paint and
finishes and this is part of the solution we intend to achieve”,
Rao added.
Setting up of another facility in Nairobi is seen as part of
the company’s strategy to hold a tight grip of the market
particularly city’s rapid growth.
“Our plan is to work with architects, builders, constructors
and homeowners in all aspects of designing home and
residential spaces to reflect their style and come up with
solutions that improve the look of their buildings,” he added.
Rao said the showroom will enhance customer experience
as they will be able to tour the room while ‘splashing’
different paints on ‘furniture’, ‘floors’ and ‘walls’ to make an
informed choice on good buy.
