EXpRESS YOURSELF
LESS iS mORE
Beaded jewellery does make a bold statement about
your fashion sense. So how do you pair your beaded
necklace, earrings or bangles without committing a
fashion crime? When you’re wearing large colourful
statement jewellery, keep your clothing a solid colour.
Avoid floral outfits, as this takes the attention away from
your jewellery piece. Most people think that the more
jewellery they wear, the more stylish you look? Well, they
are wrong. When you’re wearing a statement piece like
a beaded necklace, keep your other jewellery and make
up toned down. Less is more. When it comes to chunky
earrings, the best way to wear your hair is up. Why? You
wonder; this is to avoid your hair getting tangled in the
earring. Unless you have short hair, untangling your hair
from your earring can be a very painful process.
BEDazzLE
YOUR hOmE
Beads are not only used to make a fashion statement,
they are also used as decorative pieces for your
interiors. This is a trend that was popularized in the late
1960s and early ‘70s. A beaded curtain against your
gold Metallica wall finish is a great way to give your
home a contemporary feel. In much smaller spaces,
a sheer beaded curtain can be used to divide your
spaces while allowing natural light to filter through the
entire room. To add some sparkle to your house, get
colourful beaded curtains and place them strategically,
where they can catch the sun and throw it all around
your house. They are also a great way to eliminate
cumbersome stone and wooden doors, therefore giving
your house an interactive feel while still creating privacy.
