The Thean Hou Temple is a six-tiered
Chinese temple andoneof theoldest and
largest temple in Southeast Asia in the
country’scapitalKualaLumpur.Inspired
bybothBuddhist andTaophilosophies,
the temple is decorated with ornate
carvings,muralsandembellishments.
The temple is popular as a wedding
venueandoffers traditional Chinese
exercise and martial arts such as
Qigong,Tai-ChiandWushuclasses.
NamedafterBritishexplorerSirWilliamCameron,
the highlands were developed in 1885 during the
British colonial period. This is Malaysia’s largest
hill-station area covered by Eucalyptus Tea
