SIMPLY WHITE
The beauty of the colour white is that it never grows old.
The colour simply white is a soothing shade of white that
brings about a sense of calm to the environment. A calm
environment is exactly what is needed when trying to keep
up with a fast paced society that demands a lot from an
individual. The colour brings about a sense of order and
peace. The advantage of this colour is that it is able to blend
in with any other colours you have. The fact that white is a
timeless and neutral colour means that it will stay relevant
for years to come.
ROSE QUARTZ AND SERENITY
For the first time in history two different colours became
classified as one entry for the trendy colours of 2016. Rose
quartz is a gentle rose tone that is warm and communicates
compassion and a sense of composure. Serenity is a cool and
tranquil blue that comforts and has a calming effect. When
these two colours come together they form a warm, beautiful,
serene sensation that is both welcoming and calming. The
colour signifies duality and a sense of peace and order that
bring about relaxation.
CHERRY RED
Red is the one colour that invokes so many different emotions.
It can be perceived as a colour of aggression, of power or of
love. Cherry red is a colour that brings about warmth and
playfulness. It gives forth a certain energy to the environment
and it also creates that pop of colour that shows an aspect of
style. The colour gives out an air of class and sophistication
and a bit of an adventurous sense of style.
Colour and the right use of lighting is visual music that lifts the
soul. Colour is known to subconsciously influence and bring
out different moods in people.
Yearly colour trends on the other hand are known to be a
reflection of the age we live in. We get to further understand
where our society is moving towards by knowing and
understanding the colours that are currently trending. A lot of
research is put in to knowing which colours are most likely to
trend during a certain year.
2016 is seen to be a year of acceptance, happiness, hope and
possibilities, the colours that are trending don’t fail to bring
this facts out. There is a desire for shades that evoke an easy,
calm and quiet mood that bring about comfort and makes us
feel good. This year we have a diverse collection of colours that
are trending. pastels and soft neutrals are leading the pack of
colours, this is because they offer an escape from our busy and
ever demanding lifestyles.
The colours that have made it big this year are; simply white,
