Before
Interior design is a profession practiced by a few but loved by many
people, meet 29 year old Dansean Mugambi from Nyali-Mombasa
who runs Dankiz Arts & Creations Ltd. He is an artist, abstract
painter who’s very passionate about colors. He admits that colors
help him express himself in a very special and inexplicable way. As
he grew up he found more pleasure in transforming spaces and
making people smile and feel at home.
At 21, he decided to venture into interior design without any
academic background in the field. He didn’t have any samples of
work previously done thus nailing a client was quite a challenge.
Primarily he depended on friends who trusted himwith their spaces,
though the earnings were minimal. However, this earned him the
much needed experience and a portfolio that could catapult him to
the top. He discloses that initially he experienced a tough time but
it gave him great joy seeing people transform unbearable space to
great living space.
After years of toiling, his breakthrough came in 2012 when clients
started flocking in. He says every client has different needs based
on their budgets, target audience and style. Dankiz Arts & Creations
