A few years back, textured paint finishes were a rarity. Home owners and interior decorators in Kenya had little option in this regard. However in recent times, the availability of a variety of paint finishes has provided more choice to home owners and interior decorators alike.
In April, this blog run an article on textured and special effects that provided an overview of these products. In the same month, a feature on a Nairobi apartment that made generous use of special effects paint also run on this blog.
I recently made an impromtu visit to the same apartment block and was lucky to find the team from Crown décor services working on two more apartments on the same block.
It turns out the neigbours were so impressed by the outcome of the job on the first apartment, that they too comissioned Crown Décor Services to undertake painting jobs in their respective homes. Needless to say they wanted some quality ruff n tuff finish on their walls. I was abit skeptical, wondering if there was anything new to see. I was pleasantly surprised by how the decorators had interpreted each client’s individual tastes and colours and finally deployed it using ruff n tuff in varying consistensies and shapes.
It suffices to say that the use of textured paint finishes is now an emerging trend that may well, become in-vogue. The dramatic effect and depth that this effect can achieve is worth your time, effort and investment. Just ensure that you contract an expert to execute it.
Take a moment to sovour the few pictures that I managed to capture.
