Keeping The Painting Tradition Alive At All Times

From time immemorial human beings have used art as a form of communication, personal expression and a tool for adorning and decorating their dwellings. Different media have been used for artistic expression over the ages. Without a doubt though, the use of paint and colour has transcended the different eras of human artistic expression. From ancient cave art to modern murals, walls have been adorned with etchings and layouts of man’s most memorable, intimate and dominant thoughts, ideas and experiences.   Modern man, though quite mobile, cherishes a permanent abode he calls home. The home is primarily a place of shelter but has also increasingly become a place of personal expression and an extension of our different personalities. Inevitably we use paint and colour on our walls for protective and decorative purposes. Most of us find aesthetic appeal and pleasure in the different shapes and colours that embellish our walls. We use different hues and textures in our rooms depending on what they are used for and also to create and enhance various moods.   Painting building surfaces be they walls, floors or ceilings is both an art and a functional skill. We often know what we want the outcome of a painting job to look and feel like but seldom possess the skills and know-how required to achieve this desired outcome. The lack of knowledge on different painting products may also be a source of frustration for many people seeking to embark on a painting job. We at Crown Berger in seeking to address these issues have launched this blog. We hope to educate, inspire, learn, as well as share in your unique decoration and painting experiences.

This is a nice blog, very educative and encourages DIY. From personal experience, I have accepted colour schemes chosen by others in the houses that I have lived in. But ts good to know that I can actually think through and select a colour scheme to suit my home, furniture, mood etc. This information here will go a long way
