Crown Paints and Mediheal Hospital partnered to improve eyesight for Uasin Gishu Community

More than 300 patients underwent cataract surgery treatment during a weeklong exercise at Mediheal Hospital that had been organized by Amrita Centre Kenya and Crown Paints. The exercise which ended over the weekend had targeted Kenyans with eyesight issues and not financially equipped to manage their eyes.

While making a contribution towards the exercise, Crown Paints Group Head of Sales Bhavesh Gandhi noted that such initiative was as part of Crown Paints’ transformation agenda to positively impact lives in communities.

“As a transformative company, we’re proud to be part of this initiative which is aimed at enhancing customer’s sight by facilitating cataract surgery treatment so that they are able to see different shades of colour and beauty around them,” he added.

The listed firm invests over Ksh 20 million annually in programs that change people’s lives in all counties across the country to enhance performance and wellbeing of individuals. Besides, it trains locals to become professional painters through a program dubbed Team Kubwa where 10,000 painters have undergone specialized training at no cost.

Crown Paints, with regional operations in Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda has established depots and showrooms across major towns including Eldoret, Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Meru and Nyeri with plans to cover all counties in the Country in the next 5 years
